Stable and various phase modulations of coherent beam combination in bidirectional transmission

In this study, a novel method to stable and various phase modulations of coherent beam combination (CBC) in bidirectional transmission by phased fiber laser array (PFLA) was proposed. Based on multiplexing apertures, we firstly demonstrated the principle and experiment that not only the maximum receiving was accomplished but also were realized the stable and various phase modulations when simultaneously bidirectional transmission. The results showed that this system would deliver the lasers with rich phase profiles and generate various interference patterns at the far filed when maximally receiving the beams by CBC, which will be of great significance to the new space laser communication.
