摘要

An irradiation inhomogeneity of direct-drive inertial confinement fusion (ICF) targets is a major problem in the ICF concept. We study its influence on implosion of targets with an outer ablator layer containing a low-density component by the methods of one- and two-dimensional numerical hydrodynamic simulations. Thermonuclear gain of the targets is calculated at various amplitudes of low and high harmonics of absorbed energy spatial distribution inhomogeneities. We show that usage in such a target the compound ablator can significantly reduce the negative influence of irradiation inhomogeneity in comparison with single-layer solid ablator.
