摘要

In the past few years, video streaming applications have grown a lot in the healthcare field. These applications have made patient care much better and medical education better, and most importantly, they have made remote healthcare easier by providing reliable, high-quality live video streaming that lets people make decisions quickly. This review paper looks at innovative video streaming options and new technologies that can be used in healthcare. These technologies include ultra-high definition (UHD)/4K video, immersive video streaming with augmented reality (AR/VR) and virtual reality (VR), 360-degree video, and video analysis powered by artificial intelligence (AI). The study also talks about multipath transmission solutions as a possible way to stream high-quality video over existing networks while meeting different Quality of Service (QoS) standards. Delay jitter is a parameter that is often overlooked, but this paper draws attention to it because it is crucial for making sure that video contact works smoothly. Unlike existing surveys that address a general understanding of multi-path video streaming, this review covers a healthcare-focused perspective with emphasis on life-critical, real-time applications. It systematically analyzes multi-path transmission solutions across Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) layers from a network and system management perspective. This paper examines new developments to illustrate how video streaming is evolving in healthcare and specifically discusses the use case of a mobile smart ambulance that utilizes real-time high-quality video streaming for disaster and emergency response. It also suggests ways to improve real-time video interactions in the future.
