摘要

Conducting polymers (CPs) are a unique class of engineering materials that exhibit both plastic and metal-like properties and can be easily synthesized and fabricated while exhibiting high environmental stability. These polymers also possess tunable electrical properties and smart features, making them versatile for various applications. Conducting Polymers are promising for various fields, with their potential use in technological applications such as telecommunications, electronics, storage systems, protective devices, supercapacitors, solar cells, biosensors, chemical sensors, actuators, tissue engineering and more increasing significantly. The new forms of structured Conducting Polymers offer promising opportunities in electronics due to their larger surface area and improved dispersion. Taking advantage of these scientific and technological aspects of various exciting properties of Conducting Polymers and the related development horizons, it is of primary importance nowadays to demonstrate applications for the development of state-of-the-art electronics. In this context, the technological advances driven by wearable electronics, smart textiles, energy storage systems, and biomedical sensors that are revolutionizing industries and driving technological advances are herein reviewed and discussed.
