Novel Ag2Fe2O4/rGO Nanocomposite Formation as an Effective Electrode Material Through Hydrothermal Method for Supercapacitor Application

The demand for effective energy storage technologies has been highlighted by environmental degradation and energy problems. This paper reports on the synthesis of Ag2Fe2O4/rGO nanocomposite and its analysis was done by using several analytical methods for supercapacitor electrodes. The addition of the reduced graphene oxide layers improved the morphology and elevated electrochemical characteristics in the nanocomposite. At 1 A/g, the Ag2Fe2O4/rGO nanocomposite showed a specific capacitance of 1899 F/g along with a capacitance retention of 93.1% and long term stability of 45 h after 5000th cycle found from GCD stability. Additionally, the Ag2Fe2O4/rGO nanocomposite’s electrical characteristics were found to be better, with 1.09 Ω of solution resistance. The above benefits of nanocomposite highlight its importance for supercapacitors and ferrite-based spinel’s potential for practical energy storage applications.
