Boosting of Morphological, Structural and Optical Characteristics of SiC-NiO Inorganic Nanomaterials Merged Organic Polymer for Optoelectronics Applications
摘要
In the current work, promising nanocomposites films were manufactured from polystyrene(PS) filled by silicon carbide(SiC)-nickel oxide(NiO) nanomaterials to be suitable in many nano-optoelectronics and optical applications. The PS-SiC/NiO nanocomposites films showed unusual properties compared with other types of nanocomposites films included inexpensive, outstanding optical properties, superior physical and chemical performances. The structural, morphological, and optical properties of PS-SiC/NiO nanocomposites films were studied. Results established that the PS absorbance was rise of 35.6% at UV/spectra (λ = 320 nm) and 49.9% at NIR/spectra (λ = 860 nm) when the SiC/NiO NPs content reached of 2.4 wt%, these performances make the PS-SiC/NiO films are promising materials for nanoelectronics and optics applications. The indirect allowed energy gap reduced from 4 eV to 3.3 eV when the SiC/NiO NPs content reached of 2.4 wt%. The optical factors of PS were improved with rising SiC/NiO NPs content. Finally, the obtained results showed that the PS-SiC/NiO nanocomposites films are promising nanostructures for potential nanoelectronics and optics applications.
