摘要

Magnesium oxide (MgO)/graphene nanocomposites were prepared via an explosion method by using graphene oxide (GO) and Mg(OH)2 as raw materials. Moreover, the simulated solar photocatalytic degradation performance of methylene blue (MB) was studied under different GO contents. The reduction of GO and the decomposition of Mg(OH)2 occurred simultaneously during explosion. According to characterization analyses, MgO nanoparticles were loaded well onto the graphene nanosheets. Photocatalytic experiments showed that the surface of the MgO/graphene composites exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance. The MgO/graphene composites demonstrated the best photocatalytic activity at a high concentration (80 mg/L) of MB under simulated sunlight, and the degradation rate reached 99.6% after 45 min of illumination.
