On the Radiant Heating of Cumulative Metal Jets for Increasing Their Plasticity
摘要
For increasing the ultimate elongation of cumulative metal jets, the possibility of heating of them at the stage of their inertial stretching in the movement in the space of a tube, forming a thermal radiation flow converging to the axis of the tube, was analyzed. A source of thermal radiation was a chemical compound reacting in the regime of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. The investigations were performed on the basis of the obtained analytical solution of the one-dimensional axisymmetric problem on the nonstationary heat conduction in an evenly elongating cylindrical rod subjected to radiant heating.
