Modeling of the Kinetics and Multifront Structure of Detonation in a Binary Stoichiometric Mixture of Methane with Hydrogen and Air

A numerical two-dimensional calculation of the multifront cellular structure of a detonation wave in a stoichiometric binary mixture of methane with hydrogen and air has been performed. The calculated dimension of a detonation cell and the qualitative irregular structure of a detonation-wave front are well consistent with experiment. The authors are first to have numerically obtained the “fine” (cellular) structure of a transverse wave for a double-fuel gas mixture, that is implemented at fairly high concentrations of methane.
