Numerical Simulation of the Effect of a Shock-Wave Pulse on a Porous Layer Shielded by a Rigid Shell

The reflection of a shock-wave pulse from a layer of a porous medium is studied numerically. The process is described for the case of one-dimensional planar motion of the gas and dispersed phases using the assumption of viscoelastic behavior of the skeleton. The impact on a porous medium shielded by a rigid shell is considered. The influence of shielding on the loading dynamics of the porous medium is analyzed.
