Modification of the Structure of the Surface Iron-Alloy Layer by Pulsed Plasma Flows
摘要
Consideration has been given to the influence of concentrated high-temperature pulsed plasma flows on the surface of iron–carbon alloys. Measurements of the energy density of the calculated plasma flows have been taken. Experiments on irradiation of the surface of steel specimens at a density of the absorbed energy as high as 20 J/cm2 have been described. A study has been made of the properties of the plasma-irradiated steel specimens. Data on their hardness and phase composition and the depth and morphology of a modified layer have been obtained.
