<p>A simplified approach to modeling in situ combustion is suggested. For its implementation, a one-dimensional physical and mathematical model has been developed on the basis of the laws of conservation of the mass of phases (oxidizer, oil, water, and combustion gases), Darcy′s laws, and the closing relation for saturations of a formation with phases. Distributions of saturations of the formation with phases and of the pressure in the formation have been obtained. Based on numerical experiments, it is shown that the main part of oxygen burns up in the bottomhole zone, and the distribution of pressure in the formation is close to linear.</p>
