Effects of the Composition of Jet Flow Components on the Dynamics of Propagation and Hydrate Formation for Deepwater Spills
摘要
Consideration is given to a mathematical model for the formation of hydrates in a jet flow of hydrocarbons for two initial stages (submerged jet and plume). The purpose of the mathematical modeling is to investigate the effects of various compositions of jet flow components on the dynamics of hydrate formation. The object of investigation is a jet flow of hydrocarbons occurring in technogenic spills. The current importance of this investigation is associated with the need to predict the dynamics of oil and gas propagation for cases of technogenic accidents in deepwater development of deposits. A mathematical model has been created for a jet flow for two initial stages with account for the influence of the composition of the flow components. Computational experiments have been carried out for various initial values of pressure and oil volume content in the jet with a view to assessing the dynamics of gas hydrate formation in oil emulsion. The results of the mathematical modeling included the following dependences obtained for various versions of the composition of jet flow components: dependence of the temperature and mass of the newly formed hydrate on the vertical coordinate and the dynamics of variation in the radius of the hydration shell in bubbles. As a result of comparison of the results of a laboratory experiment with the results of mathematical modeling a high-quality agreement has been obtained.
