<p>This paper incorporates the oligopolistic product market into the Harris-Todaro general equilibrium model and investigates the impact of overlapping ownership arrangements on skilled-unskilled wage inequality. We find that, in a small open economy with full employment, overlapping ownership narrows down skilled-unskilled wage inequality; however, when the sector-biased minimum wage is implemented for unskilled labor, the impact of overlapping ownership on skilled-unskilled wage inequality is conditional. If the substitution elasticity between unskilled labor and land in the rural sector is small enough, overlapping ownership widens skilled-unskilled wage inequality; and in other cases, it narrows down skilled-unskilled wage inequality.</p>
