From Wounded Healer to Single-Session Therapist
摘要
In this article, I will trace my development as a psychotherapist from my childhood experiences to my present-day interest in single-session therapy. My main theoretical allegiance has always been to Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, a ‘second-wave’ approach to cognitive behavior therapy that is currently neglected by the CBT tradition as it continues to embrace ‘third-wave’ approaches. I will explain why I have remained ‘faithful’ to REBT for all these years, while always striving to bring my personal stamp to its practice and to everything I do in the world of psychotherapy.
