摘要

The delivery of chemotherapeutics through the blood-brain barrier remains a challenge for glioblastoma therapeutics. The overdosage of these agents also causes severe side effects among patients. Hence, there has been an urge to find alternative techniques to deliver these agents to the targeted site with limited dosage having a maximum outcome. However, when these drugs incorporated into liposomes are directed toward the tumor site, there is a higher possibility of the drugs crossing the barrier and rendering their mode of action. In our study, we aimed at formulating pH-responsive nanoliposomes loaded with carmustine that possesses selective toxicity on U87MG cells owing to the acidic pH and also evaluated their efficacy in seizing endothelial sprouting.
