<p>This study examined the incremental validity of cognitive impulsivity, emotional impulsivity, and sensation seeking in predicting adult ADHD symptoms of Inattention (IA) and Hyperactivity/Impulsivity (HI). A total of 550 Australian adults, drawn from community and university settings, completed self-report measures assessing gender, impulsivity traits, and ADHD symptoms. Using structural equation modelling (SEM), we estimated the unique (semi-partial) contributions of each impulsivity dimension, controlling for gender and overlapping variance across predictors. Cognitive impulsivity showed a large incremental contribution to IA (ΔR<sup>2</sup> = .36) and a small-to-moderate contribution to HI (ΔR<sup>2</sup> = .10). Emotional impulsivity accounted for a moderate incremental variance in both HI (ΔR<sup>2</sup> = .13) and IA (ΔR<sup>2</sup> = .24), while sensation seeking contributed minimally to either dimension. These findings support dual-process models distinguishing top-down cognitive and bottom-up emotional pathways in ADHD. Theoretical and clinical implications are discussed.</p>
