<p>This work investigates the photoconductivity effect in PbTe films doped with barium fluoride (BaF<sub>2</sub>) and provides a detailed picture of how the doping changes the electrical and structural properties of the samples. A significant change in the photoconductivity amplitudes is observed as the BaF<sub>2</sub> content increases beyond the critical concentration. The samples presented a transition from negative to positive photoconductivity at low temperatures as the BaF<sub>2</sub> doping increased. These results suggest that these compounds could be used in optoelectronic devices, where doping can tune the photoconductivity.</p>
