Enhancement of microwave absorption performance of MOF-derived NiCo2O4 by adding Ti3C2Tx MXene
摘要
Nickel Cobaltite (NiCo2O4) nanoparticles were combined with the layered Ti3C2Tx phase by a metal–organic framework (MOF) approach in which the layered Ti3C2Tx phase was dispersed in the solution of metal nitrates and 2-methylimidazole as a linker. The effects of the Ti3C2Tx contents (25 and 50 wt%) on structural, microstructural, and microwave absorption properties were studied by various characterization methods. The average size of NiCo2O4 particles was decreased from 100 to 45 nm by adding the layered Ti3C2Tx phase. Compared with the pristine NiCo2O4 powders, the NiCo2O4/Ti3C2Tx composite exhibited lower permittivity values due to the decreased conductivity. The NiCo2O4-25 wt% Ti3C2Tx composite exhibited good impedance matching, resulting in an effective absorption bandwidth of 5.8 GHz in the Ku band and a thin matching thickness of 2.1 mm.
