Recent progress on the application of magnetic nanomaterials in photocatalysis and sensors
摘要
Iron oxides are suitable materials for the design of efficient and magnetically separable nanomaterials. They have received considerable attention due to their biocompatibility, high magnetic saturation, abundance, low cost, environmentally safe, and interactive functions at the surface. In this seminar, the significance of magnetic nanomaterials in the separation process and their surface modification by various functional groups to prevent agglomeration are reviewed. The use of magnetic nanoparticles as photocatalysts for wastewater treatment is also reviewed. The recent advances in nanocomposites containing iron oxide nanoparticles currently being developed for sensor applications are also highlighted.
