摘要

The detection of methane is crucial in healthcare and environmental monitoring. Currently, detecting methane (CH4) at low concentrations poses significant challenges, highlighting the urgent need for gas sensors capable of high-sensitivity detection at low methane concentrations. In this paper, Pt-functionalized ZnO nanosheet is synthesized using a one-step hydrothermal method followed by a simple impregnation technique. The results indicate that the introduction of Pt nanoparticles significantly enhanced the detection performance of ZnO-based methane sensors. Notably, the sensor with 1.0 wt% Pt/ZnO exhibits a response of 5.02 at 260 °C to 100 ppm methane, demonstrating a good linear relationship, excellent repeatability, and high stability. The enhanced sensing performance is attributed to the sensitization effect and high dispersion of Pt nanoparticles, along with the unique layered porous structure of the nanosheets. The sensor shows potential for non-invasive methane detection and is anticipated to be used in future home health monitoring devices.
