Magnetic, Photoluminescence and Dielectric response in CuO-Co2O3 composites
摘要
The ball-milling mixing method was used to synthesize 1−xCuO–xCo2O3 composites with x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, and 0.20. The prepared ceramics were characterized to investigate various aspects including their structural and microstructural characteristics, elemental composition, and magnetic properties. To optimize the sintering temperature at which the prepared ceramic composites exhibited structural phases of both oxides, X-ray diffraction data were studied after sintering at 700−900 °C. The room-temperature dielectric properties of prepared ceramic composites were also investigated. The XRD data confirmed that, with increasing sintering temperature from 700 to 900 °C, diffraction peaks shifts toward higher diffraction angle, revealing that 700 °C is the optimal sintering temperature. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images revealed an increase in grain size of the ceramic composites. Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy confirmed the presence of elements according to stoichiometric proportion, whereas S-shaped M versus H loops confirmed the presence of magnetic ordering. Theoretical fitting of the plots of the real (ε′) and imaginary (ε″) parts of dielectric permittivity versus frequency was applied to study the dielectric dispersion behavior. The photoluminescence spectra revealed the nature of light emission from studied materials.
