Investigation on magnetic levitation force of recycled multi-domain GdBCO bulk superconductor
摘要
Single-domain REBa2Cu3O7−δ (REBCO, here RE is rare earth) bulk superconductors hold great potential for various applications; however, their high manufacturing costs and low production yield hinder their widespread usage and commercialisation. Building upon prior research, this study explored the magnetic levitation characteristics of recycled multi-domain GdBa2Cu3O7−δ (GdBCO) bulk superconductors under various conditions. The findings revealed that the magnetic levitation force of the recycled multi-domain GdBCO bulk superconductors, with a diameter of 30 mm, exceeds 150 N, while the force density of the sample reaches up to 21.96 N/cm2. In addition, this study analysed how the magnetic levitation force of the sample varied under different cooling conditions. These results contribute a scientific foundation for the development of cost-effective and efficient fabrication processes for REBCO bulk superconductors and support the advancement of their practical applications in high-temperature superconductor technologies.
