Improved performance of TiN nano buds decorated MoS2 sheets in asymmetric supercapacitors
摘要
This work reports a simple hydrothermal synthesis of molybdenum disulphide MoS2 sheets and titanium nitride TiN nano buds. TiN, MoS2, and TiN-MoS2 composite are investigated for their potential as electrode materials in supercapacitors. The composite of TiN-MoS2 electrode gives a notable capacitance of 535 Fg−1 at 1 A g−1, and the high rate characteristic of the 3 M KOH electrolyte TiN-MoS2||MnO2 delivers a high power density of 9610 Wkg−1 at 12 A g−1 and energy density of 32.62 Wh kg−1 in the asymmetric supercapacitor fabrications. TiN-MoS2 composite demonstrates a splendid Columbic efficiency of ~ 128% and impressive cyclic stability of 98.10% after 10,000 cycles. As a result, this study presents a unique and remarkable conclusion about the electrical performance of the TiN-MoS2 composite.
