摘要

The coupling between structural distortions and magnetic properties in transition metal oxides has led to an infinity of interesting phenomena with potential applications in various fields. In this study, we investigate the T dependence of structural and magnetic properties on Eu \(_{1-x}\) 1 - x Ho \(_{x}\) x CrO \(_{3}\) 3 (x = 0.0, 0.5, and 1.0) orthochromites through magnetic susceptibility measurements. The replacement of (Eu \(^{3+}\) 3 + ) ions by (Ho \(^{3+}\) 3 + ) enables studying the impact of the substitution of rare-earth ions on the structural and magnetic properties of the system. Our analysis reveals complex magnetic interactions and structural changes across different compositions, uncovering a delicate balance between crystal symmetry and magnetic ordering. We present a detailed characterization of the temperature-dependent evolution of the structural properties and magnetic susceptibility and provide insights into the spin dynamics and exchange interactions. Our findings contribute to a better understanding of the role of rare-earth ion substitution in modulating the magnetic properties of orthochromites, with implications for both fundamental physics and potential technological applications.
