<p>Nanoscale-ranged materials continue to fascinate researchers due to their unique and interesting features. Out of various nanomaterials, magnetic hydroxyapatite is one of the important materials which contain the properties of hydroxyapatite with magnetic behaviour. Its featuring high porosity and high specific surface area have manifold applications in a variety of fields. Therefore, a thorough understanding of the fabrication techniques as well as real-world applications of magnetic hydroxyapatite is very important and has sparked enormous interest. This review summarizes the most recent state of research and discussed new findings on magnetic components with hydroxyapatite. It also covers the compilation of different synthesis techniques such as chemical precipitation, hydrothermal, mechanochemical, and template methods. Additionally, the brief evaluation of the positive aspects and drawbacks of the synthesis types are carried out. Also, this review focuses an in-depth study on the applications of magnetic hydroxyapatite, aiming especially on the areas of drug delivery, environmental remediation, antimicrobial activities, and bone tissue engineering. The later part of the review addresses viewpoints of the authors on the long-term perception and potential growth trends for magnetic hydroxyapatite in the future prospective.</p>
