Abstract

The meticulous design of the interaction between semiconductors and metals can significantly enhance the performance and stability of nano-luminescent materials, thereby expanding their broad application prospects. In this investigative endeavor, we have innovated a novel synthesis methodology that seamlessly integrates inorganic CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) with gold nanoparticles (Au NPs). Photoluminescence analysis revealed that the emission intensity of the resultant Au-CsPbBr3 hybrid NCs surpassed that of pristine CsPbBr3 NCs. This enhancement was primarily ascribed to the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) exhibited by the Au NPs. Furthermore, the Au-CsPbBr3 hybrid NCs demonstrated remarkable stability, maintaining their excellent fluorescence properties even after exposure to natural environmental conditions for an extended duration. This simple and effective method of fabricating Au-CsPbBr3 hybrid NCs offers exciting new avenues for optimizing optical properties and expanding the use of perovskite NCs in light-emitting diodes as well as a range of other optoelectronic devices.
