Facile metal-oriented in-situ growth of zeolitic imidazole framework membranes on carbon fiber cloth with superior capacitive performance

摘要

A simple and effective metal-oriented in-situ growth of zeolitic imidazole framework (ZIF-67) membranes on carbon fiber cloth (CFC) substrate has been developed, which is realized via solution immersion with the assistance of electrodeposited active cobalt layer. Tuning the subtle factors on membrane fabrications, dense and continuous ZIF-67 membrane composed of intergrown polyhedron crystals successfully forms on the CFC surface. Evaluated as binder-free integrated electrodes for supercapacitors, the ZIF-67/CFC delivers a high areal specific capacitance of 1470 mF cm−2 at 1 A cm−2 and excellent cycling stability (over 91% capacitance retention after 10,000 charge–discharge cycles). That could be ascribed to the integrated structure of ZIF-67 membrance with underlying CFC substrate, which not only prevents ZIF-67 accumulation and insures high electroactive surface areas but also improves conductivity and structural stability of electrodes.
