Spatial distribution patterns of longhorn beetle assemblages (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) in Mongolian oak forests in Changbai Mountains, Northeast, China

摘要

The Mongolian oak forest is a natural deciduous forest with a large distribution area in the Changbai Mountains. Clarifying the distribution pattern of longhorn beetles is of scientific value for conservation and monitoring of some species. Flight intercept traps were used to collect longhorn beetles from the canopy and ground level of the ridge, southern slope and northern slope of the Mongolian oak forest in Changbai Mountains. Topographical position and vertical position had no interactive effect on the distribution of longhorn beetle richness and abundance, but topographical positions and vertical position independently affected the composition of the beetle assemblages. The community composition of longhorn beetles in the forest canopy and at ground level was significantly different, and that on the ridge and the southern slope was significantly different from that on the northern slope. Richness and abundance were higher in the canopy than at ground level, and were higher on the ridge and the southern slope than on the northern slope. In the process of species conservation and monitoring, the spatial distribution of longhorn beetles in forests should be considered for trap location.
