Concurrent SVT and atrial fibrillation ablation using a dual-energy linear ablation catheter
摘要
Pulsed Field Ablation (PFA) has emerged as a new energy source for ablation of atrial fibrillation. In approximately 10% of cases, a concurrent Supraventricular Tachycardias (SVT) can also be induced. There is limited data on the use of PFA for SVTs.
Case summaryWe report on 4 cases in which SVT was induced during an atrial fibrillation ablation using PFA. In all of these cases, atrial fibrillation was the dominant arrythmia and SVT was either unknown prior to the case or not documented.
DiscussionThese cases demonstrate how a novel dual energy linear ablation catheter can be used to successfully treat both atrial fibrillation and SVTs. PFA was used to treat atrial fibrillation while Radiofrequency (RF) was used to treat the SVTs.
Take Home MessagesThis is the first case report of a novel dual energy, linear ablation catheter that can deliver both RF and PFA for the treatment of AF with concurrent SVT.
