<p>This research paper examines rotating waves and the behaviour of chaotic and Strange Non-chaotic Attractors (SNAs) in a ring of unidirectionally coupled, nonlinear, dual-excited second-order systems featuring threshold controller nonlinearities. A nonlinear threshold controller is employed in the individual second-order non-autonomous oscillator and in the coupling path of each section of the ring. This study also examines various dynamical behaviours, including torus, quasiperiodic, and chaotic, using both experimental analog circuit simulations and numerical simulations. Both results agree well with each other. The numerical analysis is conducted using time series plots, phase portraits, Hilbert transforms, and power spectral density analyses. Further, the route to chaos via SNA is explored using a bifurcation diagram, a Lyapunov exponent plot, and a 0–1 test analysis.</p>
