Multifunctional, energy and environmental applications of calcium magnesium vanadate (Ca5Mg4V6O24) nanoparticles synthesized by solution combustion
摘要
Calcium Magnesium Vanadate (Ca5Mg4V6O24–CMV) nanoparticles were prepared using solution combustion method. Structural characterizations confirmed the phase and crystallite size 32 nm and band gap 3.2 eV. Acid Red-88 (AR-88) dye degradation were carried out using CMV photocatalyst under UV light exposure and obtained degradation of 83% using first-order kinetics. Environmental effect of treated water was tested by successful plant growth to demonstrate the industrial applications of CMV photocatalyst. Electrochemical properties of the CMV nanoparticles were studied through cyclic voltammetry and galvanometric charge discharge analysis in IM KCl electrolyte which exhibited a specific capacitance of 346.66 Fg1. Electrochemical sensing properties of the electrode were studied for the detection of Urea, Ascorbic acid, Creatinine, and Paracetamol and lead and Chromium.
