<p>This study explores the application of constructive alignment within studio-based learning (SBL) in design education, focusing on integrating Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) to enhance student learning outcomes. SBL, a predominant pedagogical approach in art and design disciplines, emphasizes experiential learning, collaborative projects, and iterative skill development through continuous feedback. Constructive alignment, which ensures coherence between learning objectives, instructional activities, and evaluation methods, is crucial in achieving desired educational goals. A significant contribution of this research is the development of the Learning Dynamics Alignment Matrix, which serves as an operational tool for educators. This matrix helps teachers monitor student progress, align learning activities with desired outcomes, and adjust real-time assignments to accommodate students’ evolving needs. The matrix also aids in identifying ZPD scenarios and encourages students to engage within this optimal learning zone.</p>
