<p>As the global shift towards sustainability intensifies, the role of Information Systems (IS) in promoting environmental sustainability within organizations has garnered increasing attention. This study examines how organizational and societal factors shape the environmental sustainability beliefs of IT professionals and explores how these beliefs influence their intentions to engage in pro-environmental behaviors. Guided by the Belief-Action-Outcome (BAO) framework, this research addresses a critical gap in the literature by focusing on the individual level of analysis, where empirical evidence remains scarce. Through an empirical study, the research tests hypotheses derived from the BAO framework, revealing key insights into the drivers of Green IT adoption intentions. The findings provide empirical evidence on the antecedents of Green IT beliefs and pro-environmental attitudes, offering valuable implications for both researchers and practitioners. By advancing our understanding of the interplay between organizational, societal influences, and individual beliefs, our work provides a foundation for enhancing the implementation of pro-environmental practices in organizational settings.</p>
