Cyclic Creep of Pipes Under Stepwise Cyclic Loading
摘要
Deformation of the pipeline segments under stepwise cyclic loading with internal pressure has been experimentally studied. Loading of the pipe elements has been carried out under stress control. The loading level has corresponded to low-cycle fatigue with elastic-plastic deformation of the material. Ratcheting curves (cyclic creep) of the pipes under biaxial proportional internal pressure loading with the changes in the average and amplitude stresses of the cycle have been obtained. It is shown that for the pipe elements, the increase in the loading level intensifies the ratcheting effect in the circumferential direction, while returning to the initial low level eliminates this effect. Unlike laboratory specimens, the accumulation of ratcheting strains occurs irregularly in the pipe elements during the first cycles.
