Solving Fatigue Life Prediction Problem for Thin-Walled Cylindrical Shells Under Biaxial Combined Loading
摘要
This study has addressed the problem of predicting the fatigue life of thin-walled cylindrical shells under combined biaxial cyclic loading, including tension-compression and torsion, as well as bending and torsion. The solutions have been developed based on classical failure criteria, incorporating the maximum normal stress criterion, the maximum shear stress criterion, and the specific strain energy criterion of distortion. The theoretical predictions have been validated through experimental testing.
