Vector Analysis of Uniform Rotation of Rigid Body Around Fixed Vertical Axis

摘要

A method for vector analysis of the kinematic parameters of uniform rotation of the symmetric rigid body around the fixed vertical axis has been developed. The method accounts for the inversion of the body’s rotation direction relative to its center of mass with respect to the rotation of the center of mass around the same axis. Theoretical studies have revealed the presence of additional kinematic parameter, termed “div” representing tangential acceleration. This acceleration aligns with the tangential velocity of the body’s center of mass in the direction of its angular velocity during circular motion. Its magnitude, equal to twice the product of the steady angular velocity of the center of mass and the tangential velocity of the center of mass, does not alter the magnitude of the tangential velocity. Experimental studies using modern computer hardware have confirmed these theoretical findings. The established patterns enhance the understanding of the kinematics of rigid body rotation and provide a foundation for refining the dynamic analysis of rotating rigid bodies.
