Linking career exploration and decision self-efficacy to career engagement: a sequential mediation model of career adaptability and career calling
摘要
In the current dynamic employment environment, individuals require personal resources to navigate unforeseen career challenges. This study investigates the relationship between career exploration and decision self-efficacy and career engagement, with career adaptability and career calling serving as sequential mediators. Data were gathered from 211 university students in Turkey employing a time-lagged approach. Structural equation modeling demonstrated that the relationship between career exploration and decision self-efficacy positively impacts career engagement and was sequentially mediated by career adaptability and career calling. The findings provide practical implications for higher education institutions and career counseling practices.
