摘要

Technological transformations such as virtual reality (VR) are reshaping vocational interventions. VR has emerged as a potentially disruptive force as it offers a complementary way to overcome traditional face-to-face interventions’ limitations of accessibility, scalability, and adaptability. However, concerns related to costs, technological infrastructure, user adaptation, and its long-term impact persist. This systematic literature review (International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews, PROSPERO No. CRD42023408829) examined 18 peer-reviewed articles through Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) and synthesis without meta-analysis (SWiM) methodologies regarding VR’s role in vocational interventions from 2010 to 2023. We reveal VR as a transformative tool in career development, enhancing interview skills and job competencies through immersive experiences.
