摘要

This study explores how ecological aspects of learning affect students’ mental well-being and academic performance. It focuses on the interplay between individual resilience, university support, financial insecurity, distress symptoms, psychological well-being, and learning outcomes during the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Conducted with 971 students from Brazilian higher education institutions, structural equation modeling was employed to test the proposed model. Results indicated that individual resilience and university support boost psychological well-being, enhancing learning outcomes. Conversely, financial insecurity harms psychological well-being, increasing distress symptoms, which negatively affect learning outcomes. The study advocates for enhanced university support to improve students’ psychological well-being and learning postpandemic.
