<p>This study had two main goals: to describe the evolution of vocational indecision in adolescents from mid-secondary school to the second year of college, and to examine how motivations toward vocational decision-making were related to this evolution. A sample of 213 adolescents was followed over a 5-year period. The results showed that adolescents began secondary 3 with a moderate level of vocational indecision, and that this indecision decreased slightly over time. Furthermore, this trajectory was better predicted by controlled motivations than by autonomous motivations, after controlling for gender, having consulted a guidance counselor, and geographical region.</p>
