<p>Projective limits and the associated consistent measures are powerful notions of wide applicability in the physical sciences. Of particular interest is the fact that the measure condition, applied to a full subset of the Cartesian product, insures a consistent description of the physical system throughout the entire set of scales in the projective family. Some examples are discussed ranging from scalar fields to gauge theories and to classical dynamical systems.</p>

Projective limits and the associated consistent measures are powerful notions of wide applicability in the physical sciences.
