Effects of Band Nonparabolicity on the Resonance Peaks of the Single-Particle Entropy of a Two-Dimensional Electron Gas
摘要
Numerical and analytical results of a study of the single-particle entropy of a quasi-two-dimensional electron gas with allowance for the nonparabolicity of the dispersion are presented. The dependence of the single-particle entropy on the chemical potential of the gas at and far from the resonance points is analysed. It is shown that at low temperatures, the nonparabolicity of the band gives a small correction to the single-particle entropy. Both at and far from the resonance point, this correction is proportional to the product of the nonparabolicity coefficient and temperature
