Statistical Properties of Pegg-Barnett Coherent States

In this work, we introduce three families of quantum states associated with the Pegg-Barnett phase operators : i) Phase states defined as eigenstates of the Pegg-Barnett operator, ii) Coherent states obtained by a unitary displacement of the vacuum of the quantum harmonic oscillator and iii) The eigenstates of the phase annihilator operator obtained from the factorization of the Pegg-Barnett phase operator. We also discuss several statistical properties of the obtained quantum states by computing the Q-Mandel parameter, the second-order correlation function, and analyzing their squeezing properties.
