Theoretical and Experimental Studies of Excitation of High Cyclotron Harmonics in a Relativistic Gyrotron Operating in Frequency Multiplication Regime
摘要
We study the operation of a relativistic Ka-band gyrotron with an output power level of about 1.5 MW. In the frequency multiplication regime, we experimentally obtain a resonant curve of sixth-harmonic excitation at the frequency of about 167 GHz, in good agreement with theoretical calculations. It has been shown theoretically that the radiation power at the tenth cyclotron harmonic at 0.27 THz can reach a −26 dB level with respect to the output power at the fundamental harmonic.
