Queer and Trans Exclusionary Policies in Christian Higher Education: A Critical Content Analysis of Institutional Websites
摘要
In this research, we conducted a critical content analysis of Protestant Christian higher education policies as articulated on publicly available websites, offering insights into how these institutions regard—or say they regard—QT students. We identified a typology of institutional policies across two dimensions. The first dimension represents the extent to which institutional policies are inclusive or exclusionary to QT identities, people, and experiences. The second dimension represents how explicit institutions are in their representation of their policies on their websites. With these dimensions in mind, three categories of institutional policies were defined: Explicitly Exclusionary, Explicitly Inclusive, and Ambiguous.
