Effect of 5 MeV electrons on the periodic nanostructure of As-Se film on polymer
摘要
Periodic nanostructures were found both on the As-Se thin film surface and on polyethylene terephthalate by scanning probe microscopy. The periodic oscillations in the optical absorption and reflection spectra in visible and IR ranges are characteristic of As metal nanoparticles, identified by XRD. Irradiation with 5 MeV electrons to moderate fluencies 5 × 1014 and 1015 at 165 K has induced total ionization and nuclear reactions producing short-living isotopes. Finally it resulted in the growth of rod-like Asn nanocrystals on the exposed film surface and intensified the fine structure of these optical oscillations, rather than caused amorphization.
