摘要

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) were synthesized from jute fiber by acid hydrolysis method. Our research aims to fabricate cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) reinforced methyl cellulose (MC) and chitosan (CH) bio-nanocomposites (BNCs) loaded with ketorolac tromethamine (KT) drug. The BNC films were fabricated by solvent evaporation technique. We have investigated the chemical structure, morphology and mechanical properties of synthesized cellulose nanocrystals and bio-nanocomposites (BNCs) formulations by using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Universal testing machine (UTM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), contact angle (CA) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The CNCs reinforced BNCs showed excellent material property which may have a broad vista in the realistic biomedical application.
