Bio char derived from the Prosopis juliflora root and it’s performance as a phase change material
摘要
The demand for developing waste into wealth in the modern world is growing. As a result, the utilization of agro wastes and industry wastes is the need of hour one such attempt made in this research is the extraction of Biochar from waste. In this research, paraffin wax was used as a phase change material to store and deliver heat energy. However, due to the leakage of paraffin wax, it cannot be used for commercial purposes. Bio char emitted from the Prosopis juli flora root with a micro porous structure was infused with paraffin in weight percentages of 5%, 10%, and 15%wt using the impregnation and manufactured as phase-change composites. The present research demonstrated the fusing characteristics of the bio char and the composite specimens. The TGA and DSC assessments additionally confirmed the composite specimen’s thermal stability and heat storage ability.
