Effect of biochar extracted from Prosopis juliflora flora plant with paraffin wax and its performance on leakage, thermal storage, and thermal properties

In today’s rapidly expanding globe, the demand for energy for progress in every discipline is reaching terrifying levels. As a consequence, experts have shifted their focus to renewable energy sources. This research focuses on paraffin wax as a phase-change material designed for the purpose of storing and releasing heat energy. Furthermore, to prevent leaks in paraffin, the bio char extracted from prosopisjuliflora root at different weight percentages of 25%, 35% and 45%Wt was impregnated while the paraffin wax was melting from which the composite specimens are fabricated. Theprepared composites were subjected to TGA test for assessing the thermal stability of composite specimens. In addition, the prepared composites were subjected to a DSC investigation comprised of enthalpies on different compositions with significant heat storage capabilities.From the results it is understood that by means of biochar addition there is a possibility of high heat conductivity and leak-proof.
